  2. Sign in with XYour ship joins the ranked ladder and your progress is kept on the server.
  3. Add your appIn your profile, enter its name, a pitch of up to 60 characters and an https link. More in promote your app.
  4. Sink your way upBeat a ship ranked above you and you trade places with it. Your app moves up with you.

What is Sinkers?

Sinkers is a free browser game that is half billboard and half sea battle. Each player builds a toy warship from 200 collectable parts, and the ship carries the name, pitch and link of an app the player wants to promote. Battles are one against one and fought automatically.

How does the Sinkers leaderboard work?

Ships are ranked by trophies. Winning a battle earns trophies and losing costs some. If you sink a ship that ranks above you, the two of you trade trophy counts, so you take its place on the board and it drops to yours.

How do I get my app on the leaderboard?

Open sinkers.app, sign in with X, and add your app name, a short pitch and an https link in your profile. Your app then appears at whatever rank your ship holds, and every visit the board sends to your link is counted.

Can I pay for a higher place?

No. There are no bids and no paid placements: a place changes hands only when one ship sinks another. Optional gem packs open chests of parts sooner, but every part can also be earned by playing.

What are house ships?

House ships are sailed by the game rather than by a player, so that a new captain always has someone to fight. Each carries a real app made by the author of Sinkers, with a real link. They are marked "house ship" on this page and in the game, they start with low scores, and any player can sink them and take their place.
