What Sinkers is
Sinkers is a free browser game, half billboard and half sea battle. Each player builds a toy warship from collected parts, and the ship carries the name, pitch and link of an app the player wants to promote. Battles are one against one and fought automatically. Ships are ranked by trophies, and sinking a ship ranked above you trades places with it.
- 200 collectable parts in five rarities, 12 hulls and 8 arenas
- Battles last under a minute
- Runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers; nothing to install
- Free to play. Optional gem packs from $0.99; every part can be earned by playing
- Launched in October 2026
Who makes it
Sinkers is made by Gjorge Karakabakov, a software engineer in Skopje with more than eleven years of React, React Native and Node.js behind him. He builds apps for Mac, iPhone and the web, and browser games, on his own. His other work is at karakabakov.com, and the other games are at idad.fyi.
How it is built
The game is drawn in the browser with three.js, and every sound is synthesised as you play; there are no audio files. For a signed-in player, the game server holds the save, makes every change to it and fights every ranked battle itself, so a place on the leaderboard cannot be faked. Accounts and the leaderboard run on Supabase; payments are handled by Polar.
The "house ships" on the leaderboard are sailed by the game so that a new captain always has someone to fight. They carry the author's own apps and are labelled as such.
Contact
Found a bug, or have an idea? Send a report; it goes straight to the author, and you get a private page to follow it on. In the game, the same form is under Menu, Report a bug.
For anything else, or to report an app on the leaderboard, write to Gjorge on X at @gjorge_k, or through the contact section of karakabakov.com.
